So this is Christmas...

I was stunned by some news I read today...
A dear friend's husband has passed on yesterday...
I am sorry...
I am sad for my friend and their family...
My heart hurts for you K ...
I wish I could be there to hug you and let you know I am there...
I am there...in spirit....in friendship...
I am behind you when you need a hand although we have never physically met each other
You have become a dear friend and I send a hug, a blankie, and prayer, a casserole too...
I am there...anytime

sorry dear friend.

Club Anya All Customer Blog HOP... Happy Holidays!

Happy Club Anya All Customer Blog Hop!

Happy Holidays to you and your family and Welcome to my blog!

Do have a cup of Eggnog or Winter spice tea, and a cookie or two!...

For this lovely occasion I made some edible art. Yes I took rubber stamping to another level! or at least for me.

I decided to try cookies and now I can't wait to make a cake .Below I have given you the recipe for my edible art. Do try it and have fun. I think this will be one project I will be doing at my sons birthday party this spring.

Thank you for stopping by it has been my pleasure to have you all here. Do come back and if you all feel becoming a follower it would be a great honour to have you aboard.
Again Happy Holidays and a wonderful New year to you and yours.

Trish (Stampi)
Recipe:

1.Bake and cool Sugar cookies. Store bought dough or own recipe either is fine. Use cookie cutters in which ever shape you wish the possibilities are endless really.

2.Roll out fondant ( which I bought at Micheal's already made ). Cut fondant with cookies cutters that you used for your cookie. As cookies spread when they are baked the fondant shape will fit nicely in the middle and will be framed by the cookie edges.

3. Then use a black food colouring Marker ( I bought these at Micheal's also) on the stamp directly on the image. Make sure you get none anywhere else but only on the image as it will show up clearly just like on paper. If you do use a bit of wet paper towel to remove it and make sure you didn't remove any of the image itself. If so reapply.

4. The food colouring marker will dry quickly once the stamp is covered so run hot water and hold the image near the steam. This is done instead of huffing like one does with real felt markers on stamps. We don't want to huff on something that is going to be eaten...lol...then stamp your image using a small amount of pressure.

5. Slowly pull your stamp of the fondant if it sticks a bit just hold the edge of the fondant with your finger and gently pull off the image. I really did not have much trouble.

6. Take a cool cookie and place your fondant on top if it. If the fondant does not stick just brush the cookie with a bit of water and reapply.

7. Then take food colouring drop a few drops on a plate and use a new paint brush and paint just like you would a stamped image on paper.

8. Experiment on a extra piece of fondant to see the colour before you put on the fondant. Mix colours, have fun, and get creative.

9. Once your image is complete if you wish to add bling, in this case real sugar and sprinkles. Use a little water on the paint brush and wet the area you want to put sugar or sprinkles on then add them.

10. Let them dry and package them up and give them away or enjoy them yourself.

I see a million possibilities with these...enjoy.

Do make sure your stamps are clean and not stained with real ink before doing this technique.

Thank you and have fun. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Angel Anya Christmas and Thank you Cards.

These cards are for all the Angels or Workers at my son's Daycare. They are a lovely group of ladies whom without I could not keep a roof over our head. They diligently and lovingly care for my son everyday I have to be a work. Life is tough being a single mom & working full time. When one can go to a daycare where you can drop off your child and know they will be safe, nurtured, and fed, one can at least go to work and not worry. Thank you ladies and thank you for looking....do have a cup of Winter spice tea .....
Recipe:
To make these cards I used scalloped square and oval for the background. I then coloured the Anya Angels with Copics and adhered them to the oval and then the square. Once that was complete I adhered the whole set onto the card and decorated with stickles, ribbon, and sparkle foam stickers. I used gold pipe cleaner for the Anya Angels Halo.

TGF Blog Farm Fresh Friday Challenge...

So my favourite stamp company The Greeting Farm has a great challenge on their blog. They have asked if you could using one of their images create a card reminiscent of your favourite treat....Well I have several treats but my favourite right now is Maltesers...so melty, so chocolaty ...yummie....reminds me I need a new bag. Any how here is my take. The bag for Maltesers is red, white, and brown with a tiny bit of gold. I used chunky sugar glitter for the edges and for her little stand. I then embossed the title with white and coloured TGF Twinkle Tot Madelyn with Copics. Then punched some brown circles to resemble the Maltesers and added some foam Christmas stickers. Not a busy looking card but it reminds me of the bag for my most favourite treat...click here to see the Maltesers site http://www.maltesers.com/index.aspx and here is the challenge link if you want to play too http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2009/11/preview-or-two-and-sweet-fff-for-you.html and see their new digital stamps too...have a Malteser or two and thank you for coming by.

Mulled Wine Christmas Card

Oh the fun I had making this card. First I used a plastic snowflake as a mask while using Patina Glimmer mist. Then I used Pashmina glimmer mist after to create this look of the background paper. I really wish the shine of the glimmer mist came through in photos. Then I coloured and cut out TGF Stamp Twinkle Tot Madelynn. Some glitter snowflakes, sequins, and inking around the edges to complete this look...I love these two colours together hope you do too...This card reminds of mulled wine hence the title. Thank you for looking and do have a cup on the way out...by for now. Yes this card is made especially for a great challenge on a great blog to see this blog and challenge details just click on this link. http://anyaink.blogspot.com/2009/11/challenge-9-its-beginning-to-look-lot.html

Manga Christmas stamp...

This a quick card I put together using my Manga stamp from Funky kits in the UK. I love the Sugar Nellie stamps you can purchase there. Any how I embossed a background, coloured her in Copics and added some stickles around the edges. A sentiment on the ribbon and a quick card complete and ready to send to a friend.
Thank you for stopping by.

Crystal Ice Anya...Christmas Card

There is a fun challenge on Club Anya blog this Monday. Just click the blinkie on the right to take you there...the idea was to create something icy with Anya...here is my first card with this concept in mind. I have a few I would like to make as these will be super Christmas cards for my office pals.
I embossed my jewel tone navy paper with my cuttlebug. I then use alcohol ink on a plastic snowflake ornament. Sparkles were added all around the edge to frame whole card.
For Anya I used copic markers and then added a snowflake to the front of her dress. Some glitter glue I bought at walmart which I spread all over Anya to look like ice crystals. Well thank you for stopping in and yep you got it more treats, and this time its one of my favourite frozen treats..lemon ice gelato, do have a scoop ..enjoy.

Digital Autumn Ian...Happy Birthday

And now I will share my other new digital stamp Autumn Ian. Is he awesome or what?...I had to put him out in the woods camping. This was a relatively easy card to put together some stampin up stamps in the background and Ian coloured in copics...easy but I really like the results and I hope you do too...I think this card calls for some peppermint tea don't you ?....

Missing you...Digital Autumn Anya

A quick card with pretty colours. I bought the butterfly stickers awhile back and love the colour combination. Any how I coloured Autumn Anya the other night and wouldn't you know it they match. Some stickles of course and ribbon to complete the card. Thank you for stopping by and looking. There might be some late fall plums left in the fruit bowl if you would like one, and some black current tea in the pot.

A little boys Christmas...

I have made this Christmas card for my son to give to his Baba.....I did a bit of altering of the stamp from The Greeting Farm by changing out the game control in his hands for a little gift. I love the tilt of his head this is a sweet stamp. I then used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the circle and then outlined it with silver stickles. Some ribbon and snowflakes for interest. A sentiment surrounded in glitter and there you have a little boys Christmas. Thank you for looking and do have a cup of eggnog and a sugar cookie....I know I will.

Pattern me not...

Well here is a card a Christmas for a girlfriend of mine. We have been friends for many years and she always remains so fashionable and for her I have created a fashionable card. I also used the challenge idea here http://clubanya.blogspot.com/2009/11/mystery-monday-pattern-me-not.html to make this card. I found very liberating to not use patterned paper and instead chose to use punches and sparkles galore. I used glitter glue which I spread all over the background this is something I have grown fond of over the past little while then I used a border punch for the swirls and felt stars, foil stars and bling. Oh yes and Martha Stewart punch for the branches...Thank you for looking and candy cane bark is in the dish help yourself...bye
