Kitty on window ledge...

This is a favourite character of mine from Penny black...can't get enough of the cuddly, chubby, fluffy kitty. This is a card in honour of Vithecat who would love a window ledge of her own.
I embossed the image, used copics for colouring, glossy accents on the window. Some ribbon, stamped and coloured kitty twice added some pop dots, a sentiment and there you have it...thanks for looking.

Shut up and Colour...

lol sorry...I really don't mean that it just came out....sometimes I feel like shouting this though when people are so self absorbed or grumpy. Those who are so involved with themselves they can't see past their own nose...or when I watch the news and people are doing such insane actions...Just Shut up and colour, you'll forget what you were mad about...while your at it share your crayons with a kid and feel the magic....

The story behind this shadow box starts with a great friend going on a wonderful trip ...a true trip of a lifetime. She thought of me on this trip and I believe it was in Turkey that she had handmade paper made in front of her. There she thought of me and bought me these amazing crayons as a gift.
I could not bring myself to use them and they were just to pretty to sit in a container so here is my tribute to colours, friendship, travel, and art....thank you Suzanne you always help me see the creative side.....The pictures do not do it justice but I just cannot get a good shot in...sorry.

Presenting Superstar Anya from Greeting Farm stamps...

I had so much fun making this card and watching this stunning little Anya Super star Greeting Farm stamp come to life...She just sparkles. She is so ready for the stage and the party after....
I embossed the stamp then used copics for the face, hair and outfit. I used pink flocking over black copic markers for the coolest effect on her boa..it shows a bit in the picture but there is texture there...I used stickles in her hair, on her glasses, her shoes and on the skulterfly. I also used four Brads to spell STAR around her image and I used some felt ribbon for the background. I embossed the whit cardstock for added effect and used some scoring around the edges or the cards and of course inking all over the place. If you double click on the picture it will enlarge it to show the detail of her hair...wish it was mine...lol
Thanks for coming to peek do let me know what you think ...helps to keep me motivated...
My plan is to enter her on the Anya blog for the mystery Monday challenge which was to use and Anya or Ian Stamp using the 3 colours pink, black, white and 3 embellishments...

Happy Camper...

I did a swap with some very talented ladies and well I just could not wait to do a double page layout with the wonderful embellishments. I have enough left over to do another page and I can not wait to put that one together also...Ladies if you looking you should recognize your work...Lisa your frame with fire made of flower petals...I loooove it...An owl journaling card thanks Rhonda...the license plate is so cute and perfect for this picture ...thank you Michelle...If you double click on the picture you can make it larger to see the great detail of these ladies work...and the cute mosquito stamp...lol

I loved making the tent and I used my stampin up roller for the edge at the bottom under the ribbon. Some distressing, pop dotting, matting and few store bought stickers and there you have a great summer of camping....show cased beautifully....

Poo happens...

A friend mine was hoping for a promotion and sadly missed by a stoopid mark..One mark...that sucks so this is a card I made for her...
This is a inkdinkadoo stamp set ...simple card just ribbon and punch out circles, inking and some copic colouring...thanks for looking...

sorry I can't seem to flip this photo...arrrgh....guess you need to tilt your head a little...lol

yep these are the latest bit of books to add to my stack of reading...I read constantly so I need to keep a pile going...check these out I thought they would be fun...stamping mystery and spooky mysteries..I have to admit the covers of the spooky ones inspire me soo...I love the look of them...anyhow just thought I would share these...Hey Cindy I think Gee might like the spooky ones...they do look like fun... a new indigo opened up not to far away...oh I love book stores almost as much as scrappy stores....plus they have a super section for kids...as you can see Steven by the wall in the picture above...thanks for looking everyone...grab a cookie and book and sit down for a bit...

These shoes...

One time long ago ...I think it may have been Kristen was giving away some rubber or was it Rhonda...shoot I don't recall...any how one of the images was of this great shoe...so here is a card with that shot image made into a pair of must haves...enjoy...shoot the image of the saying is blurry but it says I can do almost anything with the right pair of shoes...
This card was done on jewel tone navy paper with the images embossed then stickled. I then used metal tape I bought in the hardware store and embossed it with my cuttlebug and then alcohol inked it as I love what my friend Kristen does with this look. So here is my attempt at it..I also diecut the circles with a cuttlebug die...and of course stickles all over...thanks for looking..

Baby buggy card...weeeeee

Here is my paper piecing baby buggy...love it! I think it turned out better than I imagined it to look...I used to circles and cute one at 3/4 or so and the other around a 1/4 of the circle ...added lace, stickles, inking, and liquid pearls... cut the handle and wheels from self sticking foam and did some decorative scissors edging and some more stickles and perfect pearls for grass...thanks for coming by and Congratulations to my CTMH lady Jo! ...Happy baby...WEEE...

Girls just wanna have fun...

and give you some great advice at the same time...
I love these sassy ladies and how addictive it is making these gorgeous creatures come to life and share some words of wisdom...I saw some similiar cards once in a magazine and have been so excited to make some and well I am sure glad I did...
These are paper punched ladies..the head is a vase punch turned upside down and the hair is made of punched leaves, flowers and branches...the rest is made up of beads and various fibres and lace ...thank you for stopping by and do try some of these yourself ...you won't believe how much fun they are until you create your first one and her personality shines through...

scrappy room overhaul..

here is the before...and the afters....this took my wonderful Mom and myself 4 days from 9:00am to 11:00pm nightly to complete...may I never let it get out of control again it was a nightmare. I love the feeling in there now although I must admit I was so used working in such chaos that when it was clean I lost my scrappy mojo for awhile...but its back...and I am loving the ease of finding my goodies and being able to easily tidy when I am done...thanks for stopping by and having a peek at my place of happiness in my universe...

Outside looking in..

yep that's the new layout that I just completed in my clean, oh so organized scrappy room...I will post photo's of that later...This is good ole Vithecat sitting outside on a winters day looking in at the fish bowl of life she called home...we have since moved from that home and she no longer has a big ledge to put her petite butt on to look in but has realized that scratching on the glass screen door will get her some much deserved attention..thanks for looking...
I used some Martha Stewart sprinkles to look snow on a few of the embelishments and hand cut the paper for added dimension of the swirls. The owl and letters are done using my storybook cricut cartridge and the velvety yellow letters for in are chipboard.
