Alice in Birthday land...

I made this Birthday card for a special friend of mine. I made many layers and used several kinds of stickles, glitter and glitter glue. I also used glimmer mist, walnut ink, and liquid glass. I was having a lot of fun making this and reminded me about how excited I am about the up and coming Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland. Thank you for looking .....

Quick tutorial for a clean finish on your cut out images.

I love the look of a cut out image. Cutting images out is especially handy when you go over the lines or Markers bleed over from blending and such.
Here is my quick and easy way to always have a perfect outline on your image.

Step 1.
Cut out your image as close to the edge of your stamped outline .

Step 2.

Once you have completed cutting out the image often there will be white edges showing. As you can see in this photo or white in areas that are just too tiny to cut around. This white can often detract from the image and the feel of the card giving it a unfinished look as below. By the way you can see my new sparkly copics shining in this picture...
Step 3.

So here is my solution to a clean, bold, outlined, cut out image. I always take my black Copic using the fine tip and I run it around the edges of the image to fill in all those white spots with black. Be careful and do this slowly along the edge to ensure the marker is only colouring the edges. Do not hold it in one spot for to long or the ink will seep in the paper and on too your image. Just a quick stroke workes best.

There you have it, the outline is bold, clean, and no white edges. Hope you like my tutorial and that you find it helpful.

Blueberries and Cream..

Oh yes that's one of my favourite summer time treats. Oh even better with soft ice cream. I made this card for a challenge over at Anyone for Anya...their challenge this week intrigued me. I like the idea of making a card using your favourite food combination how fun and interesting. So here is version of blueberries and cream as a card.
The funny thing was as soon as I read food combination I though oh Pizza and pop but then realized pop is not a food...darn that would have been fun...
I am using the new Anya digi Charlotte...I just love this stamp. Here is the link to the challenge
The ladies on here are mighty talented...thank goodness its random winning I would not stand a chance with them....enjoy the fun everyone. By the my friend Vanessa is there with an amazing easel card she made this is a must see.

Hit me Cupid...

Here is my cute non traditional Valentine.
I am going to give it to my parents...hope you like it and for those of you to young to remember ...lol...thats a record behind them...just kidding.
I decided if I was going non traditional, I may as well go non traditional with the shape of my card too.
This is a digi image from The Greeting farm...thanks for looking....

For you....

I made this card with a friend in mind. She is in one of those places where the bad seems out weight the good right now. I am praying for her and her family and I hope this card helps to let her know she is being thought of...and I am here for her....
This card was made by using some wooden ornament and a paper flower as masks. I sprayed 3 different kinds of glimmer mist to give that fairy effect. I'm sad because I can not figure out how to make the gorgeous glimmer mist to shimmer in all its glory. I used my new 5 by 7 cherry blossom cuttlebug folder..okay I love this folder and if you don't have it you might just need it.
This card is also being entered into a challenge on the cuttlebug challenge blog...just click on the badge at the top of my blog . This site is awesome full of tips and contests and amazing ideas.
Thank you for looking and sharing in my hobby...

Valentine Special orders...

After seeing my first Vintage Valentine Card a coworker asked if I would make one for her husband and one for her daughter.
We decided on a different saying for the Vintage card as her husband has begun smoking again and thank goodness he has a sense of humour.
The other is for her daughter. I hope she likes it.
Thanks for stopping by and having a peek.

Playing with my digi stamps..

I was playing with my digi stamps just checking out different ways of using them.
I came with this card by making my digis smaller and then using word art underneath them.
They are still coloured with copics though.
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping in....all images are from The Greeting Farm.
