These are some wonderful photos of my son and his Gido or Gid as he calls him of late. I found these file folders at Micheal's and new they were going to be a layout. The even had matching ribbons I was so excited. So I got it all home and just went where the file folders and ribbon took me. I distressed edges, inked edges, cut out the butterflies, birds and other pieces from another file folder to make the embellishments. The ribbon of course was a perfect match I only added the large ric rac which was so graciously given to me by a scrappy friend. I used glitter, liquid glass, beads(micro and seed), pearl gloss paint, and stickles for all the embellishments. I also used the tim holtz crackle paint here and there for texture...thanks for stopping in and sharing this layout with me...I love it hope you do to...the saying is wonderful.

A sad farewell....
I apologise for the sidways pictures ...I have no idea how to turn them around..so don't hurt your neck twisting sideways...
Okay so it is not often that at my place of work do I get a manager that I adore. Someone who is honest, intelligent, kind, and a just a real super person. I am going to miss her on a personal level and most defiantly at work as my manager. She helped me alot both in work and with some real deep rooted emotional issue that would sadly arise at work...she is an extremely talented photographer and her work is amazing ...I will miss seeing her latest shots ....sadly I say good bye to her and wish her all the best ....sometimes people like her need to move on to help others and share her amazing self with them...I say lucky them....bye...

Just Magnolia paper bag challenge...
So I popped over to http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ and decided I would try their challenge for a paper bag card. I have never done one before I have to say it was great fun. I also have never made a lollipop flower either and so I made one for this card. I did leave the bag/card open at the side so I may add a chocolate bar to if before I give it away...What a great challenge this was. V convinced me to keep working at loading this on the challenge site and I did it...thanks V!.... and with the link above you can go peek at all the wonderful work the other women have done...thanks for visiting...

Beautiful Blue Eyes...
That is the title of my new layout....I so love my son's eyes but what Mom doesn't ?...I used some old Patterned paper with matching cardstock. I also used some chipboard epoxy letters and I cut the dragon flys out of the patterned paper and applied liquid glass to the wings and beads and sparkles for my own handmade embellishments..I also used a wee dragonfly punch on the edges and sprayed some Patina glimmer mist. Thanks for coming by...
