Home is where the ART is...

Yep another awesome challenge at The Greeting Farm blog just click this link for rules ... http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/ any how this is my entry. I really had a lot of fun making this ...it really brought a smile to my face...I am pleased with the outcome totally....thanks for looking...
I altered 80's Anya by making a smock and beret for her. Then I added some paint to both her face and smock one never walks away from creating art clean. I also made a paint brush and palette. I then printed The Greeting Farm logo and put around an old paint tube made it dirty for effect ...I splattered paint on the frame and background adhered a mouse, cat, and hand painted framed landscape in the background. Thank you for stopping by and by the way I must altering stamps has opened a whole new bit of creating for me and I love it... your stamps go even further now with a little imagination....yay....

Catwoman Reeta an altered TGF Stamp for Halloween

Here she is the cat's meow I might add...I wanted to make a Halloween card for a friend and I am trying my hand at altering stamps. What a great way to take already wonderful stamps and make them even more interesting. This is fun and it really gets your creative juices flowing.
I altered The Greeting Farm stamp Wild Sprouts Rita for this. She already has the kitty with her so it was easy to see her as a cat. I changed her hair and omitted the bow in it. Added some felt kitty ears and a tail, stitched on some whiskers and added a cute kitty nose. I changed the look of her clothes with copics and then placed her on a pumpkin cuttlebug embossed background. Added some stickles, ink, and ribbon. Added the Martha stewart spiderweb punches, the pumpkin and the graveyard boarder and there you have it. Happy Halloween everyone.

Cool Yule! altered TGF Skater Ian.

Made a new Christmas card trying to learn to alter images from The Greeting farm to create

a little bit different of a character. I thought I would give Skater Ian a new look from skater to snowboarder which in Alberta is a normal transition for the skater boys....I used Martha Stewart snow glitter, stampin up stamp for the tree and some ribbon for the laser ones.

For Skater Ian I just omitted the wheels, added some hand drawn mitts and made his two piece outfit a one piece snow suit. Coloured him copics and put him on hill...spent a bit of time coming up with a sentiment and then added some fun patterned paper on the side for interest.

Thank you for looking.

Celebrate the season with TGF Teacher Anya..

I changed up The greeting farm Teacher Anya stamp to be holding a Christmas present instead of an apple. This was a fun challenge. We were to use 3 kinds of cards stock ( I used Red the card itself , coordination's green for the background, and blue cardstock for the Martha Stewart Snowflake punches). We had to use designer paper in my case that is the blue with sparkle design in strips behind Anya. Then we needed to use patterned ribbon and I used a few kinds. Oh yes and glitter too my favourite..I used Martha Stewart glitter on the edges and then some big chunky snow stuff which I have no name for but it sure is sparkly and pretty...Thank you for stopping by. Oh I almost forgot we were to follow a card pattern to which I did and this is the link to it http://www.making-birthday-cards.com/landscape-card-sketch-1.html

Calla's Castle...using an TGF Anya stamp...

So as promised the princess would make her appearance when she was good and ready..she is now beautiful and ready....this is one of my favourite colour combinations.
I painted a wooden star gold, used a foam castle for the background. I used the storybook cartridge to cut out the purple letters and then used stickles , bling and flowers. I altered a Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm. Used copics to colour her and lace to make her dress longer. I pop dotted the same image of her on top to give it depth... and there you have it one Princess sign for a sweet Princess's door....Pirates you may enter but mind your manners...lol...thanks for looking ...have a tea cake on your out the castle door...

Potential & Space Ian..

Here is a fun little card I made as pick me up for a friend down in the dumps...the quote says it all....
I stamped Ian and coloured him with copics..some liquid glass on the face of the helmut and some stickles on the buttons. Cut out a moon from foam and inked it then stamped the quote Potential means you ain't done it yet.... Punched some metallic stars a foam sticker sattelite and there you have potential and Space Ian...thanks for stopping by and grab a moon rock on your way out...
