Friendship card...

I also had another request for a card for a dear friend. This is what I came up with for a little something special for my coworkers dear friend.

I used Martha Stewart punches for the edges, prima flowers, some misc flowers. The pearls are dollarama and gems are both micheal's and dollarama. Misc ribbon and the cream lace is from Vanessa ..thanks V.

Birthday card for a Mother...

I have been asked to make a card for a friends' Mother. Her mother lives back in my friends home country of Sri Lanka. I was nervous making this card I really want it to be special for her and her mother. I believe she said her Mom was in her 80's. I hope she likes it...

I embossed the cover with a cuttlebug embossing folder, sanded it and then put stickles all over the leaves. I distressed all the edges and I heat embossed the words. The butterflies are done with the Martha Stewart punches and the leaves are dollarama. The brown flower I just can't remember I think maybe Tammy gave them to me. The brown pearls I love and those are from Dollarama. Thanks for stopping by.

A card for a dear friend...

I made this card for a dear friend who lost someone special...I loved this stamp and thought it would lend itself beautifully with the saying I chose for the front of the card..I used twinkling H2O's after embossing the image....The flowers are from dollarama....thanks for coming by.

I was published in my favourite magazine..

I am thrilled this is my two minutes of fame...I have never been recognized publicly for anything I have done before...this is a first and a moment to remember for me...

I made a whole album of my aunt's backyard and I decided to send this one in. I must have done so at the right time. Months later I was sent an email saying they would love to use my layout in the upcoming Canadian Scrapbooker basics 4...I was floored really ...really ?...it was true I sent it off and then waited oh about 3 months before the layout came back and another 3 weeks before the magazine came out..I was nervous, excited, embarrassed, proud, scared you name it I went through all the emotions obviously I am not good with recognition...anyhow that's my story and here are my pictures and please understand I send in lots and lots of layout all the time never expecting to hear anything so don't be discouraged just keep sending stuff in and you never know....I am glad that all the money I spend on my craft of choice lead me to this wonderful moment that I can share with my son and family, and all of you my extended family...thank you for all the support and caring...okay how was that for my two minutes of fame speech...lol...

I love this artist and I was lucky enough to find a set of stamps with her images on them...I need to practice a bit more with the colouring on these. I made this for a friend at work and I can't wait to give it to her...thanks for stopping by. All colouring was done with copics and the sparkles are stickles of course...

New stamps and a card challenge

Here is my version of a challenge my friend Gloria posted...I love my new stamps from Walmart they were cheap and cool..just like me...lol ..just kidding I'm not cool...lol ...no really I'm cool not cheap or ...okay never mind...hope you like my card....I stamped the buttons with a new stamp set and the leaves are done with liquid pearls and polymark dimensional fabric paint...another walmart special ...12 colour 10 bux...bye
