Magical...Sweet pea image

I worked on this card all weekend. I used gold detail embossing powder to outline the image. I then used 4 different colours to create the magical jewel toned hummingbird. I used the liquid pearls for the flowers around the bird. I am pleased with the results and I hope you are too... I used some moss for edging on the card to give it an organic feel . Christmas wreath and my Halloween arrangements...

a couple of non scrap related creativity ideas....I made these bootiful bouquets for my coworker, son's teacher and myself this year. These were just a blast to make. The Christmas wreath I did just the other morning..I think it still needs some tweaking but this is it thus far. I put some glittered spiders in it for fun. Here is a German tale about the spider at Christmas and how that is where the tinsel came from....enjoy.

Well it is that time when we start to make those beautiful holiday cards. This is the first of the season for me. I enjoyed creating this card using my new snow writer around the edges for some texture and creating a cute Christmas ball. I have decided I will try and use up my Christmas stash this year and not buy anything new...hmm I wonder how long I can hold out....

Yes it has a been a long time since I have been here. Those of you still following I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I apologise for the absence. Life just got in the way. I believe we all have times when we need understanding and time to regroup. This was it for me. I am on the mend and creating cards and scrapbooking is part of that process for me. Rainy day button bouquet..

A little cute something to cheer you all up... it has been raining cats and dogs here so I made this bouquet for a friend to cheer her up. I love the rain but having spoken to many people lately it seems they don't share this same love... I used buttons an beads and garden wire to create these cuties.

Hope you like them and feel some inspiration to make a bouquet for yourself or a friend. Remember these are allergic free and hospital friendly!

a sweet card for a sweet student worker. Using you guessed it a sweet pea stamp...just can't get enough of them :)

I had a lot of fun making this one as I have only known the girl for two weeks. She is kind, sweet, smart and beautiful. I have taken a cue from the simple yet pretty clothes she wore as to what colours to use for the card. I am sure she will go far.

fairly odd parents birthday swag..

My son chose Fairly Odd Parents as his theme for his Birthday this year. Here in Canada we had not birthday items with this cartoon so I had to pull out my crafty ideas and came up with this.

I did a candy wrapper for smarties, cake toppers or in this case worms and dirt toppers, invitations, thank you notes, and tshirts.

They were a hit and my son was so pleased. We were at a Chuck E Cheese so having all the kids in the same colour shirt helped allot.

This is my tribute to spring.... We really don't look like we have spring here in Alberta Canada but it will come... I used utee on the image and then placed in the freezer and cracked it for texture...then I added some clear glass beads and pearls and bling galore...I do hope you like my latest creation. I recently acquired this stamp from Sweet Pea and I couldn't wait to make a card. I spent some time swirling fiber on top of flocked paper. Then I wanted to create a sort of bottom of the sea treasure in the corner. Notice the pearl.... I love how this came together and I do hope you enjoy this card too.

Yep you are double the fun... I had a few copies of this image I printed from Kenny K designs and while I was sitting on the couch nursing my cold I coloured them. Then when I felt like I needed to get up so I didn't actually start turning into the couch I made these cards. Still sick but I needed to do something ....I thought these bright and cheery Birthday cards might help me feel better. I hope you like them and may they bring a smile to the special ladies I made them for... ;)

Warmer weather...seems so far away.

But hopefully this card brings warm thoughts of Spring in our not so distant future.

We are currently at - 23 degrees with a wind chill of -32 but hey Spring has to come sometime.

Over at In a Sweet pea dream they have a challenge and it just that Warm weather. This is my interpretation using a sweet image and some spring colours none of which you can see here in Alberta Canada. I used some flock on the mouse and some crystal glass on the mushroom for a bit of realistic look. I brought out some rub ons and happily added some words and layers. TGF images are and will always be my most favourite and treasured stamp collection.

Thank you for stopping in. Last year I made cookies stamped with TGF images this year I present to you my Christmas decorations. They were so much fun to make. Each was stamped on white cloth, coloured, glittered, stuffed, and sewn. They will grace my tree for years to come. I made another set with slight variation for my coworker to go along with their TGF cards....not enough time for pics though sorry..Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's.

So what a fun challenge this is..you need to make a card using an ugly Christmas sweater as an inspiration. Luckily I do not own that sweater but it was inspiration for this card... Ian is adorable so its hard to make him as creepy as those sweater Santa's but you get the idea...I gave him googly eyes to help emulate the creepy beady Sweater Santa eyes...thanks for stopping by and maybe you should try this challenge it is fun...look I even added the bead work around the edges..lol

I am excited to post two of my most special cards above as per their request. I discovered this company through my friend Vanessa and have been a happy Kenny K Krafty Kard maker ever since. So here it is, made two tiny envelopes on my card for those cutie patootie images from TGF and I also decorated the envelope itself...I love how the tiny envelopes turned out...cute huh? any how used some distressing with stamps on the balloon, piggy, and bunny. I pop dotted all of them and added some crystal effects, bling, flocking, and stickles...I like the bright colours and the stamped background hope you do to...

Dreamin of a Sweet Pea Christmas...

Sure am ...I was visiting all my favourite challenge blogs and came by the new Christmas challenge over here http://inasweetpeadreamchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/christmas-challenge-3.html and decided I would try my hand at some Christmas. Normally its snowing in our province already but not this year so it took a bit to get in the mood. This of course got me thinking that I need to do my Christmas shopping real soon...so I will make my list tonight while catching up on some shows. Now a few details about this card...I did a bit of layering. Used some foil paper because it always reminds me of Christmas, some fuzzy pom poms, glitter, and cute little Ho on the side for effect. I love using my sweet peas stamps so here is what I did...I rarely use brads it seems even though I have a million and ten...so here is my card. I used copics and then ran the image through my cuttlebug with my Tim Holtz embossing folder that looks like broken glass...used some bling, ribbons and of course bows to complete this challenge...hope you like the end result. Notebook Altered Challenge

I have entered this lovely altered notebook for a challenge at The greeting farm. I loved making this. I made a stuffed doll of one of the images by stamping her on cloth , stuffing and sewing her together. I can see this idea taking off....maybe.... I added lots of love and bling to make this hopefully a real show stopper ....lol...Any how I do hope you like this and find some inspiration.

Baba's Birthday card and a pink TGF card....

My mom's Birthday is next week but my son is with his father so we are celebrating a week early and having our Thanksgiving early also. So today I am cooking up a storm and I am excited to give my Mom this card. We call her Baba for Grandma in Ukrainian and this is one reason I love making cards because I can make a card that says just that... The pink card was for a challenge at TGF but I think it may not be acceptable...any how doesn't matter cause I love how it turned out. This card was made with women who fight cancer and still continue living with conviction and being the best they can be ....for all of you hats off you are my hero's always...

I love these new images from Sweet Pea stamps and I love embossing these image and painting them with twinkling H2O's the result I think is beautiful. Sadly you cannot see the twinkle in the paints when it is photographed...but I can tell you it is stunning...lol

I made the plaque for my Mom just cause.

We love monkeys! I mean who doesn't love monkeys especially these two. Well, I am back from holiday and had a lovely time at the lake with my son and parents. Took a few pictures to scrap and spent a lot time catching up on scrap mags, Star gossip mags, and some good ole reading.

What can I say I love these images. They make me laugh and have just enough and edge and cuteness to make them so versatile. I am not much of a black and white gal but this one seemed to just happen on its own. Hope you like and I do thank you for coming by. I have weekend at the lake coming up so I am looking forward to getting some cards or scrappy pages done before I go.

I have had two request recently. One is to make a card for a coworker who is going to be running a marathon and another is from my mom. She wants me to make a book of all her old wedding photos...this last one for mom is going to be a fun yet large project to undertake...I am up for that challenge...I have until their 50th wedding anniversary which is almost a year away...

With a bit free time from caring for my son who is fighting a throat infection this card was created. I am not sure who I was thinking of but when I looked at her she seemed to be thinking of someone. I used crackle glossy accents on the moon, glossy accents on the cats eyes and hers. I have finally had some time to play with my new rubber. Months back I bought some sweet peas images. I have been intrigued by the images this wonderful company puts out. They leave so much to the imagination, so much to colour, and so much to shade...I am just starting to create with these stamps and I can only hope with more practice my shading will get better and do these images justice. My son's daycare had a petting zoo come by for the children to enjoy. My son loved this he met many animals and was able to pet, play, learn and in this case be bit by them...

I stamped the edges of a 12 by 12 white cardstock with stamps I had purchased at Micheal's awhile back. I then coloured them in with copics added a few movement lines creating my own patterned designer paper...I wrote only a few words to describe this memory for my son. I also edged the paper with red ink to frame it like I did with the red polka dot matting for the pictures.

hmm sounds like how I wish my life was...though I have learned through time that not everything you want, and get is as great as it seemed at the time...I used faux stitching on this card with stickles and a marker. I was trying to match the edgy feel of this image with sort of a street feel with the card. Not sure if I succeeded but I do like this card....thanks for stopping by. This page was made from a sketch on the TGF blog. I acquired the new Toby painter image and new it had to go with this page. Toby is so darn cute and so are these two kids. Doing what kids do best playing, sharing, painting the afternoon away. I used paint to stamp the images and smudge the edges. I coloured Toby with copics. Name Frames with TGF Stamps...

This is part of my gift for my new God daughter. I used 4 different TGF images alongside some large chipboard letters. Two letters I painted and glittered and two I used some glimmer mist. I used copics on all the images with a mix of twinkling H2O's. I hope she enjoys these frames for years to come.

I had many ideas but I really liked Bat Wishes on your Birthday!...I love how she turned out much batter than I imagined while day dreaming at work. One of the best things ever happened to me at my place of employment. I have a calendar that a wonderful friend gave to me with a different delicious cupcake for every month. I printed a copy of one such wonderful cupcake called a cosmopolitan cupcake, cranberries, vodka, and lime were a few of the ingredients. So a super sweet coworker made them. She brought one in for me and she put this naked cupcake on my desk (meaning no icing) and I thought hey as much as I love the icing a cupcake is a cupcake. Then out of her knapsack she pulls out a icing piping bag and ices it in front of me...So much fun!!...I giggled and clapped like a little girl...I have to say hands down as a cupcake lover that is by far the best thing ever that happened at my job...I do hope she does it again...lol...Having said all that I made her a thank you card for her with my new Tiddly Inks Goth image. Wow am I glad I found these...I just love the images. I made a quick bookmark for my niece with catgirl. These images are digital and so much fun to look at and colour. My heart goes out to her and her family at this time. Organizing my new large TGF Stamp sets...

My favourite stamp company The Greeting Farm has come out with these fantastic new sets. One is a scrapbooking set called in the Spotlight and the other is a huge collection of sprouts and sayings called Roll call...Love them! With these large sets came the challenge of organizing them so here is what I came up with. I used clear presentation folders or duo tangs as we called them when I was kid. I then used page protectors with cardstock inside to hold all the stamps. I think this turned out great now I can not wait to go back to the store to buy more folders and do all of my TGF stamps this way.

Hi there! a short and sweet post. I have been so busy these past few weeks. I need to play this weekend so many new stamps...so little time...I need my creating time to be happy ....any way here is a card I made for a coworker who's Mother has passed on. I wanted to give it a vintage feel so I stamped it then crumpled it, used distress ink, then crumpled the paper, wet it, then adhered to another paper then to the card. Added flowers then used Sepia glossy accents to highlight the tree. Hope you all like it and stay tuned to for cards a plenty this weekend. Miss you all so much. I cannot wait to drink coffee and look at every one's blogs...I have missed so much.

okay new challenge on Club Anya. The challenge is to alter a TGF stamp into a rock star and make a card. So here is my version, you guessed it Alice Cooper. Why Alice well I have always been a fan and my life for the longest time after leaving the X was pretty much Welcome to my nightmare..lol..there are sadly many single parents but no instructions on how to get it done when it happens to you...lol..I laugh now but whew for awhile there it was tough, still tough at times but I'm getting much better at coping...okay hope you like it and I hope like heck it looks like him...let me know what you think please....thanks a billion... a billion dollar baby that is..lol.

So it was National Scrapbooking day. A couple girlfriends and I headed off to a crop at our local Scrapbook store. We had fun and much scrapping was done. These are the pages I made. I can tell you, I probably could have made more but there was a lot of eating and talking to do...lol..you know how it goes...any how I worked on my Zoo album and here are the pages. The pictures are not the best but you get the idea..

The Greeting Farm has come out with a new scrapbook kit called In the Spotlight...so they have a faux stitching challenge this week and here is my entry. The spotlight being on my son and his Best friend Emily. They have a lot of fun together and have been friends since the first time they met. They have shared two different daycares, preschool, playdates, Ukrainian dancing, and are about to begin Ukrainian Kindergarten together in Fall...
I used the journaling stamp, the stars, and the my friend stamps, from the kit to make this page. Alot of stickles, bling, and googly eyes...remember sparkles make things more sparklier...the faux stitching is done around the edges. I do have a sewing machine specifically for my papercrafting but it just seemed to be out of reach in my studio...its getting a bit untidy in there...thanks for looking.

With me?...I made this card out of recycled materials this was done for a green challenge for Earth day on The Greeting Farm.

I used:

Recycled card board inserts for the base of the card. These were being thrown out at my office. I saved them for my paper crafting.

The frame is the backing from a Prima stamp.

The ribbon is binding tape for sewing which I recycled from our city's recycled re-use it store that saves reusable items from going into landfill.

The flowers are punched from recycled paper from DCWV and the little ones are from scraps in my scrap bin.

The beads are from a little girls necklace that I took apart and saved the beads.

The only items not recycled are the paper the image is printed on and inks.

Heck the image is digi so hey even that is good for the environment...cool!

Hope you like it and that you give recycling a try when doing your cards or any paper crafting it is amazing what you find when you actually start looking around....

I decided to make a gardening gift for a wonderful challenge on The Greeting Farm. The challenge was to make a gift with at least 3 items using TGF stamps. This is my creation. My niece is giving it to her friend and I hope she likes it.

I have had the idea brewing in my mind for a long time about stamping a flower a pot for a gift. So here is my attempt at this. This was harder than I thought and if I do any more in the future which of course I will. I think I will refine my technique. Any how you can't use copics on latex paint and I can't paint worth a darn so I used permanent felt markers...Then I made TGF Anya's to match the flower packets. Yoga Anya for morning glories, 80's Anya for Zinnia's, and 60's Anya for Wild flowers. I then added some coloured twine in bundles, gardening gloves, and ties. The lotion of course, as we all know what working in dirt does to our hands, I added a sweet quote "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom" ~ Marcel Proust. I do hope you like it and please may this inspire you to make a gift for someone and think out of the box with your stamping. I do realize this is a busy looking piece but I can't help it when I think gardening well colours just need to be everywhere...Thank you for stopping by and take care.

Good day, I made this card last night. I used so many techniques but it was worth I think. I coloured Sassenach Any with copics then crumpled the image and used distress ink in milled lavender. I then sprayed it with water to give it that distressed look then some glimmer mist in lemon grass. I then let it dry and coated it in crackle paint the clear rock candy one then let it dry. I rubbed more milled lavender distress ink on it then wiped it away. The base of the card I used Archival ink to stamp the postcard image then sprayed it with walnut ink in eucalyptus, let it dry. Stamped the postage stamp images and punched them out with a postage stamp Martha Stewart punch. Added some ephemera and flowers, pop dotted the image and stamps. Then I added chalk ink flower images in the burgundy for colour. I also used ink on all the flowers and tidbits to age it all evenly...hope you like it and thanks for stopping by...today my message is Faith we all need it so here is to believing .....

One of the best days ever. Celebrating MOM!. We love her sometimes we ahem don't understand her but really there is no one like MOM. Be it your real mom, a Grandmom, a mom you have adopted or who has adopted you . We all know how much they mean to us and how much we need them in our lives. My son's BF's Birthday...

My son's best friend is turning 5 tomorrow...big excitement so I made a card and a frame for her. My son is working on his card now. I loved being able to do something so completely girlie the colours and image too. When making the frame I remembered these TGF images and had to use them. My son and BF met in preschool. They go to daycare together and will be starting in the same kindergarten this fall...I hope their friendship. lasts them a lifetime.....Thank you for looking.
